After years of using outdated code and practices on a non-responsive site, I got fed up and took it into my own hands to completely redesign and code the new page adding in new features to improve the interaction on the site.
THE PROBLEM
As you can see, the former site lacked a modern look and feel as well as did not truly capture the full scale of the Blue Devils. After some interviews with the core stakeholders, directors and members of The Blue Devils it became apparent they really needed a site that was both functional as well as beautiful. Providing the user with list of upcoming events, scores, photos & video as well as links to featured merchandise.
THE SOLUTION
THE OUTCOME
The outcome of this was a fully controllable site built on a custom CMS and fed by our SQL database with fully autonomous features constantly updating the page. This season, The Blue Devils has seen over a 35% increase in Audition submissions and a 200% increase in website traffic directly related to new mobile traffic.
